This is Royal Milk Tea Pocky Mousse. Quite a mouthful, in more ways than one.
Royal Milk Tea? Yep, ‘Royal Milk Tea’ is a popular item in Japan that also appears as a flavor in many other types of confectionery (Kit-Kats etc…). ‘Royal Milk Tea’ is sold in many shops and can be bought in bottles, and it is often used as a flavour in many other chocolate bars in Japan.
It is basically normal tea made with milk/cream and sugar. It remains very popular in Japan.
So how does this Pocky measure up? It’s actually not bad – the topping is twice as thick as regular Pocky (which is the case with all Pocky Mousse flavors), and when you open the box you instantly smell the sweet milk tea aroma.
The actual taste is interesting, nothing to jump up and down about – there is a slight spice taste to it, but overall you pick up the rotal milk tea flavor.
This Pocky currently isnt available in the mousse range, so you will need to keep you eyes peeled to see if it gets re-released. I’m sure Royal Milk Tea will emerge again in some form or another as a Pocky flavor.
